Over the last little while I have come to the realization that I know some awesome women over Twitter and via blogs. These women are truly incredible and inspire me daily. This realization combined with a recent watching of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants sparked an idea in my brain.
I would like to create the Sisterhood of the Traveling Blog. What is this exactly? It’s a chance for women to connect, inspire each other, and generally be awesome.
How will it work? Well, there’s two things you’ll need to be a part of the sisterhood. You’ll need to be a chick (sorry guys, y’all are cool but this is for my sistahs!) and you’ll need to have a blog. (Lots of free blog sites are available, Blogger and WordPress being the most popular).
If you’re interested, leave a comment with your contact info or send me an email. Once I get a few women signed up we’ll start trading guest posts on each other’s blogs. I don’t have a particular theme for the posts in mind other than perhaps something encouraging/inspiring.
Ideally I’d love to see this turn into more than just a blog exchange. I’d love to see a network of sisters across the globe encouraging and inspiring each other. But honestly, even if all it does is introduce some great women to each other and spark some neat blog posts it’ll be worth it!
Last but not least… I’m working on some sort of blog badge/logo for this and I’ve got a few ideas floating around for it but nothing that’s like YES! If you have an idea and are feeling creative please feel free to do it up and send it my way!
